Hi ho, hi ho, it’s underground we go…

A quick walk up Rue University and a slow weaving of our way through a sea of people demonstrating against the banks and we were once again in the depths of the gigantuous, amazing maze of the Underground Mall. This time we had ample time to explore more fully the vast expanse of shopping and eating available below the surface. After meandering through three separate complexes joined by tunnels we were exhausted and ready to eat in the largest food court I have ever seen.. a just complement to the enormous 5 level mall that it adjoined! Khi managed to find a gruesome mask, a flowing black cape and a 3ft long plastic sword that he just ‘had to have’ in preparation for Halloween – this caused quite a bit of a stir as we wandered through the shopping centre… not to mention Mark’s look of enthusiasm/disbelief when he saw the purchase!
