Mont Royal

In time for sunset, we drove up to Mont Royal where we walked through a beautiful park with all the fall leaves starting to turn the most magnificent shades of red, gold and orange. It wasn’t long before we got the opportunity to interact with some locals… of the animal kind! Squirrels and racoons were not shy in approaching us and were very keen to see if we had food – this resulted in some great footage as they climbed all over Khi’s ipod (while he was filming). I managed to overcome that voice in my head screaming ‘rabies, rabies, RABIES!! and was able to enjoy the moment until we began being eaten by mozzies and the voice began another safety warning chant in my head… Upon reaching the look-out with amazing views of Montreal city we were surprised to find a rumble in one of the trash cans beside us – only to discover a racoon in there also! We watched the sun set on the city and the tones of glass and concrete be replaced with bright neon shades and then headed home.
